    3. Our Jesse Craft b.1796 Tenn (Hickman Co or town of Hickman) married about 1820 probably Pike Co, Miss. MARTHA E. CREWS b. ca 1805 GA (according to 1850 census). Their children were cousins of famed Bethel Coopwood of Texas camels. Upon researching Bethel Coopwood I found his mother was ELFIDA CREWS b. 1803 Tenn. Elfida had a sister named SALLIE CREWS who married Robert Corley. When Sallie died 1846 Yorkville, Tenn. Robert Corley married Elfida Crews Coopwood. In the 1827 Pike Co, Miss. Tax List Jesse Craft is listed and just below his name if this entry: "Same for estate of Thomas Crews, Topisaw, 350 acres." Could this Thomas Crews have been from Smythe Co, Tenn and before then have been living in Franklin Co, Georgia before 1809? Any help would be more than appreciated! By the way, Jesse Craft, wife Martha, and all their children except one moved to Texas about 1848 first going to Rusk Co, then Upshur Co where Martha probably died 1850-1855. Jesse died 1883 buried Lewisville, Texas, Denton Co. Janice Barnett Craft, Greenville, Miss.
