Hi Everyone, I finally have the information from my newly discovered cousin. And it looks quite similar to what was posted recently. Here is what she sent me (working backwards): Leonidas Crews (1831-1903) - parents are Reuben Jordan Crews (1804-1854) and Elizabeth Yarbrough Philips (1814-1854). Reuben & Eliza had the following children: Charles Constantine, Leonidas, Algernon, James Mortimer, George M., Fleming Jordan, Jackson Philip, and Sarah (Sally) E. Reuben Jordan Crews - parents were Martin Crews (ca 1764-ca 1827) & Jane Ware Jordan (ca 1777-ca 1823). Their children are: Reuben Jordan, James Ware, Martin Mortimer, Elizabeth and John Fleming (I had his name as James before). Before marrying Jane Ware Jordan, Martin Crews was married to Susannah Jennings and they had a son named Stanley Crews (b. ca 1796). Martin Crews - parents were Stanley Crews (ca 1740-1793)and Agatha/Agnes. Their children are: Martin, John, Susannah, Polly, Patsy, James, Nancy, David, Frances (Fanny), & Elizabeth (Betsy). This is the same list that David came up with after his sleuthing. Good job David! Information earlier than this is still tentative according to her: She then has Stanley Crews as the son of David Crews and Mary Stanley. And David Crews as the son of John Crews. I seem to recall seeing some discussions on these families earlier but can't recall exactly what was said. Perhaps someone can refresh my memory? There is more to what she sent but that is the important stuff as far as the Crews information goes. If someone can verify the earlier information on David and John then perhaps we could have a new posting of the families in this line with as much information as possible on each of the children? I must say Pat that you were right. When I first contacted you, you said that we would eventually be able to connect my line in to your (collective) main database of information. It took a while but we finally got there. Thanks to all who have helped get me this far. Charlie Ottosen aa212@neale.gpfn.sk.ca
