Peggy, My gggrandfather was John Marion Cruse/Crews b. 1837 in TN. I have four sisters listed with him as Martha, Amanda, Nancy and Delilah. There may have been other children. Their mothers name was Mary and she was from NC and I have not been able to track down the father's name, but he was from VA. I wonder if we can make a connection here somehow? I'm not sure if there is a connection but the John on this census is listed as 5 yrs making him born about 1845 not 1837. But maybe somewhere there is a connection.
