Since I was gone for the month of July, traveling through England and Normandy, and have taken my time about getting around to this, I hope you'll all bear with me. I first want to thank Joanne Black for taking over the list while I was gone. She's a real pal! We've got a lot of new people on the list this summer and I want to welcome you all. I hope we'll be able to help you in some way to further your research. The first thing you should do is check the CREWS archives on the RootsWeb Homepage and do a SEARCH for your ancestor. We've put tons of data into the archives and there's a good chance your ancestor is somewhere in there. But that's not a guarantee. So if your search fails, please ask your questions here and we'll do our best to give you whatever we have. That will also help to get your ancestors into those archives for someone else to find someday. I'm going to go back and see if there's any notes that I can help with and if you don't hear something on the list about your ancestor, then consider that your notice that I have nothing on them. That should take a two or three days (I'm confining this to evenings so it takes awhile). If I don't mention your ancestor, will you please post as much data as you can (dates, places, etc) so that we can put them into our databases which would make them available to the list for later linking (hopefully)?
