Joanne, Thank you for the previous posts of Rose Crews. I have not met her, but did leave a message on her machine once and got no reply. I believe she is rather shy and even publishes her work in her husbands name. I have a lot of her work thru other researchers who know her and we have all hit a brick wall at Roger and Elizabeth Mitchell Crews m.1808 in Colleton Co, SC. They lived near Islandton, SC until coming to Camden, GA abt.1817-1819. He died bef. Jan,1835. I believe he was my wife's gg-grandfather and I know that Roger Jr. b.1809 was her g-grandfather. Even this father-son relationship has not been nailed down with proof. Regarding Thomas Crews Sr.d.1697/8 in Surry Co, VA, the info I have indicates that Phoebe's name changed to Kiggin by the time the will was probated. Another separate note in a book said that Phoebe Jeweller was the widow of Thomas Crews. It's difficult to say which is which but I would guess that Jeweller is the maiden name. There's a small chance that these are two different Phoebes. I'll send you a gedcom that contains will info in the notes. David
