Pat, Sorry about your dilemma! First...James and Amelia did not have a son named Matthew. (I hope I never said they did in my early days. If so, it was in error or where-ever that came from.) Matthew Crews (son of Ephiram & Rachel) and Reuben Crews (not brothers) simply married the same woman but at different times. Constance Whicker simply had 2 husbands both with the last name of CREWS. I have very little knowledge of Matthew's parents other than what I wrote you of in his father Ephiram's will. (Do you want that again?) I have no knowledge of the two Ephirams you spoke of.
