Re: recent posts that the wife of John CREWS who patented land on Dry Creek in Lunenburg Co VA in 1749 with Richard CREWS, his presumed brother, was Sarah PLEASANTS. I realize this is often stated to be the case, but I'm still looking for the PROOF of this (I'll even take credible circumstantial evidence from original source documents). Can anyone cite the first published statement that this is the name of his wife? Thanks!!!
