RootsWeb is now upgrading their systems. Yesterday they "moved our main Web server onto a new pair of load-balanced T1 connections to the Net's core mesh, so we now have a total of 4 T1s' worth of outbound bandwidth. " Sometime in the next 48 hours and maybe they did it this afternoon, they are doubling the memory to 512 MB of DRAM, so they'll take it offline for a couple of hrs. I don't know if that will afftect us, but if you do have a problem uploading, don't worry. Just try again later. You may be interested in knowing that the next thing is to upgrade the search engine to a GB of DRAM and 45 GB of very high-speed RAID-5 disk storage. Then they'll reindex the list archives and the USGenWeb archives and give Marc Nozell all the space he'll ever need for the list archiver! They're spending about $11,000 on all that and yes, I did finally join RootsWeb as a sponsor so we're supporting that effort! Pat
