Uncle Everett Crews,son of James Culbert and Ada Pencie Crews-Crews, married 1st time to Geraldine Crews, dau. of Lee Ander Crews & Nettie Johns. Lee was born 27 Aug 1891 died 15 Oct 1962. Nettie was born 5 Oct 1904 died 16 Feb 1966. Parents of Lee Ander Crews are Robert Edwin Lee Crews born 2 Apr 1867 died 10 Feb 1945 & Marietta Thrift born 1864 died 24 Jan 1941. Parents of Robert E. L. Crews are Samuel L. Crews born 1830 died 3 Mar 1895 & Harriett Raulerson born 1831 died Oct 1906. Re: Wm. Cone Crews- his pension file gives the name of another brother, James B. Crews, who lived in columbia Co., Fl. Martha Jane Crews, dau. of Wm. Cone and Rachel Adeline Stokes-Crews, married Geo. W. Dixon on 27 May 1879. Three children in family: Emily born nov 1881 married Aaron K. Rhoden 31 Jan 1900; Annie M. born Dec 1882 and Lonnie D. Dixon born Feb 1891-Lonnie was by another relationship. They lived in Charlton Co., Ga. George W. Dixon died in 1888 and is buried in St. George, Ga. Parents of Wm. Cone Crews, Roger and Elizabeth Mitchell-Crews, had a total of 14 kids. Will type them in later. (2nd note:) Wm. Cone Crews: wife was Rachel Adeline Stokes, dau. of Henry and Mary Brown-Stokes. First child, Mary Elizabeth Crews married her 1st cousin, Wm. Taft Green. Yes, Mary and James Stokes Crews were twins. Child #9, Annie Crews who married Riley Crews. Riley was the son of John Cone and Martha Johns-Crews. Child # 6- Wm. Albert Crews was called "Mance". He married Rebekah Elizabeth Crews who was also a daughter of John Cone and Martha Johns-Crews. The above mentioned Rachel Adeline Stokes-Crews was a sister to Sarah Jane Stokes who married Calvin McDonald Crews. Roger Crews b. 1789 Colleton Dist., SC. married 27 Sept 1808 to Elizabeth Mitchell b. 1791. Roger died 1837.He and Elizabeth lived in Ga. 1820, Duval Co., Fl. by 1830. Elizabeth moved back to Ga. by 1840 and is a widow on the census. She still lives in Camden Co., Ga. in 1850 (later became Charlton Co.) Wm. stated that he was married to Rachel Adeline Stokes Dec 1849. #7. Courtney Elizabeth b. 23 Apr 1822 married Elbert Greenberry Stokes 22 Apr 1841 at her mother's home in Camden, Ga. Courtney died 17 Jun 1898. #8. Joseph b. 1824 m. Elizabeth Davis 10 Jun 1855. Joseph died abt. 1875. #9. Sophia b. 1826 m. Jesse Tom Green 17 Apr 1844 She was, of course, his 2nd wife.
