I am searching for information on the parents of David M. Crews (12/18/1789 - 1870?) married to Elizabeth �Betsy� Smith. Some previous researchers in my family believe that he is the son of Redman Crews (married to ?), son of John Crews and Sarah Redman. Recently, it has been suggested that David M. may instead be the son of Jeremiah Crews and Elizabeth Harlan, with Jeremiah�s parents being David M. Crews and Anna McGahea (McGee). Both of the names Redman and Jeremiah appear in other generations of my line. If anyone can supply any information which will assist me, I would be very appreciative. I have copies of a few postings about Redman (none listing his children), but none about Jeremiah. Here is the information on my oldest Crews ancestor: 1-David M.
