NC (later TN) after 1792, but I'll check on it. I don't see any other land purchases in the Greene Co. TN books I have. I don't have ready access to Knox Co. I think that is probably what happened. Have you seen Gideon's or James' pension papers? Does James' file actually say he married Lucinda HOOD? I'm trying to verify that he did, as well as the fact that Lucinda's brother was Aaron HOOD of Knox Co. TN. Vickie Elam White
