This is a surname I am interested in as one person in a Cavan County Ireland COOTE family, Rachel COOTE married James CRERAR in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1834. They did have at least one 'early' child, William CRERAR in 1927, Edinburgh. Rachel died in 1953 with a daughter, Annie COLLARD as a witness. James had been married before, Annie may have been from this first marriage.....
