The speakers, Davis Genealogy Club members Alan Jackman and Nancy Crerar together with Mary Ann Smith, will show how they find and interview living relatives, use databases to create published genealogy volumes, and organize family reunions and media to share with their families. You are encouraged to bring items which you have prepared for your family members; i.e. scrapbooks, family history albums, posters, etc. We can all use a little inspiration! Delving into family genealogy requires detective skills. To some, family history research is more than finding birth and death dates. Fleshing out the daily activities and lifestyles of our ancestors can be quite a feat. Not only do these researchers uncover secrets of their ancestors through countless hours poring over courthouse records and sleuthing on the Internet, they also work hard to make their discoveries exciting to folks who are less passionate than we are about genealogy.
