These two "kids," Marion and George, applied through their mother, Mary Hadley (Weatherford), so I am still left wondering about their father's heritage (John Marion Woods, Sr., b. abt. 1835, SC). We suppose his father was a "Woods," and my family says his mother was a "Boone," but there is no firm information on either. Now, ya'll remember. If you find that a Dees/Deas/Dease/Deese finds there way in your life, please let me know. Some of the Boone's did marry the DDDD's.....don't know about the Woods yet. Frank Boone lived next door to my grand daddy and his family...Thomas (Tom) Timothy.....and there were Boone very close to my Great Grand Daddy Martin Dees.
