Glenda ********************************************************************************************************* "Hi Richard and any who might know the answer to this question: I recently bought a DVD of a book:? The History of Clarke Co, Alabama, written by John Simpson Graham, pub. 1923. The book tells some of the genealogy, history and battles in the area namely the Battle of Burnt Corn.? He credits his information from Dr. Thomas G. Holmes, a survivor of the battle and others.? He mentions some briefly and others a little more in the book.? For example Choctaws, Creeks and Cherokees?in Clarke Co, roles of David Tait, Samuel Dale, Samuel Mims, Steve Tate a colored man, Peter McQueen, William Weatherford the son of Charles Weatherford, Sisemore's? (Sizemore?) plantation and ferry, Suggsville, Ala at the end of the Civil War and Miss Mattie Deas.? WW 1 - also mentioned Albert Deas and Ivy C. Deas. My question is:? has anyone else read this book and are the facts correct??? Thanks, Glenda"
