    3. I am connected via marriage to Barnhill's who came to Greene County, AR via TN via Kentucky via NC and Pennsylvania . . . The link below gives information on this Barnhill family back to the Revolution. http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ar/greene/bios/ridge/v1a_c.txt Other information I found on Caswell Hall Barnhill: http://members.tripod.com/~ardvscv/rgs1655s.html Maybe this will give you a few leads on your Barnhills . . . I have not found that to be a common surname. Good luck! Melissa >>> <jgbarnh@cswnet.com> 01/02/2004 7:10:44 AM >>> This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Barnhill Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/5R.2ADI/1099 Message Board Post: Hello, my daughter 'Stephanie 'and I are just starting with family genealogy. We have traced back to Henry Barnhill (Brother George B.) my great-grandfather who lived in Clay County, Arkansas. They both came to Arkansas around 1880 from Indiana and married Ellen C. Gilbert and Angie Davis respectively on 06-11-1881. The 1880 U.S. Fed. Census states they were both from Indiana along with their parents. Roy G. Barnhill (my grandfather) the son of Henry Barnhill married Rose Corbin in Clay County. If anybody can bridge the gap and help us find the parents of Henry Barnhill (birth date 1854) and George Barnhill (birth date 1860) of Indiana it would be greatly appreciated. Of course we are looking forward to meeting relatives and new friends as we start this journey. THANKS. ______________________________
