    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5R.2ADI/955.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: You might try Houston Co, Stewart Co, Twiggs Co and Thomas Co, GA as well. There was a heavy concentration of Blackshear's in all those counties. Elisha Stout Blackshear had a ggg grandson named Nonie Blackshear (from his son, Mose's line). Unfortunately, this Nonie is not in my direct line (Elisha is..but my line is from his son Jacob) so I have little info. I have no idea if this was a common name or if there is a connection to this family or one of Elisha's siblings. Also, back then, after the removal of the 5 nations to OK, census records often classified light skinned Native Americans as "mulattos", since they were not suppose to have been any indians left behind. I have a very extensive decendancy chart, in my Word docs. It is far from complete, but if you think it might help you, I will be glad to forward it to you. While it is done in the traditional format of a decendancy chart, it includes ALL the b., d., m. information, including the counties and the spouses names. Faye Blackshear Reynolds
