    1. [CREEK-SOUTHEAST] Leona Davis /Jasper Ellis
    2. I am trying to find the parents of Leona "Lonie" Davis Goodson. She is listed on the 1910 census in MS, Monroe Co. She is 19 according to the census. Lonie married Homer Goodson in 1908. She had two daughters, Ethel, b.1909, and Mary,b.about 1912. Apparently Lonie died during or shortly after Mary's birth. Homer married again in Sept. of 1912. I lost track of Mary, Ethel continued to live with her father and step-mother. I found Mary on the 1920 census, living with Jasper N. Ellis and Lucy B. Ellis in Lowndes County. She is listed as an orphan. Jasper is 72, Lucy is 62. Mary is still with them in 1930, but now she is listed as daughter. This Mary is 18 in 1930, leading me to believe that she is the sister of Ethel, and daughter of Lonie. Ethel always said that her mother was Indian. Ethel was red skinned and had black hair and eyes. She was tall and thin when she was a young woman. I did not know Mary. I am trying to find out who Leona Davis's parents were. And how are Jasper and Lucy Ellis connected to Mary Goodson? Are they relatives of her mother? Ethel was my grandmother. Thanks for your help.
