When I was little we referred to him as Major Driesbach. He came to Baldwin County from Ohio.My Grandmother was Josephine Tate Driesbach before marriage to Walter English. I cannot find service record of him in the U.S. or C.S.A. At one time my Aunt had his obituary notice in Baldwin County (Bay Minette) Al newspaper. It told of his legislative offices held. Charles Henry Driesbach was in the C.S.A. Army. He also was a tax collector in Baldwin County. I am interested in both J.D. and Charles Henry.
