    3. I ordered a copy of the book on the 9th and have not received it yet. Look what happens when I'm not online for a few weeks!! I am SO excited!!! Thank you so very much for posting this. I will definitely be ordering a copy of this book because my Moniacs are listed prominently. Chapter 9 is devoted to Magnaque & Manac (Moniac) and Chapter 16 is about David Moniac!!! And from what I can tell from looking so far, the book should teach me a lot. Thanks much to the authors (wish I could give them both a big hug)! My 4th great-grandmother was Nahoga Moniac (daughter of William Dixon Moniac & Polly Colbert) who married Jack Ward. David Moniac was her nephew. I have his military records from West Point (ordered them years ago) Can't wait to get my hands on this book!! Would love to be in contact with other descendants of William Dixon Moniac. Take care all! 3. We were privileged to be able to do an advance order prior to the release of the book....I ordered as well but know it is like having a reservation before the event. Knowing the individuals, we will get it right on time. 1. [CREEK-SOUTHEAST] help finding my family
    2. Laura G
    3. Hi, I am a new member of the group. I am here because I am searching for my roots. I know that my paternal grandparents were at least part Native American. I am told that they were Creek, but I don't know that for sure. I have searched all the sources I know of and haven't found anyone with their names in any Native resources. Anyone got any ideas of what I could do next? Thanks, LG

    3. Yes....tell us what the names you know are, to start with, then where they are from and lived, if you know. Do you know WHY someone told you they were Creek? There are a lot of good people that are very knowledgeable on this message board. Bet, someone can assist you one way or another......they did miracles for me.
