The Fall 2009 issue of the Journal of Genetic Genealogy is now available free online at http://www.jogg.info/52/index.html It has a very interesting article by Roberta Estes entitled Where Have All the Indians Gone .... Although basicaly about the Southeastern tribes along the coast and their very early mixing with Europeans, it has lots of old maps, charts, graphs, and the DNA material is not difficult for most anyone to follow. The Muskogean tribes in the Carolinas & parts of Virginia are included. The main thrust of the article is on the DNA results coming in on the Lumbee Project and the Lost Colony Project.
