(unknown maiden) who married an unknown Baxter. Anna was born April 1840 in Cherokee, Georgia . It has been told to me, that Anna was of Indian heritage, and that my gg-grandfather met her, took her home and married her. I was lucky to find Anna living in 1880 with her son Sanford H. Baxter, b. 1858 (my g-grandfather) in Paulding County, Georgia. Besides Sanford, Anna had two other sons. They were John A. Baxter, b. 1870 and Charley Gordon Baxter, b. 21 May 1876, all born in Georgia. As far, as I can tell, Anna must have died after the 1900 Paulding Co., Ga. census was taken. I cannot find any further information about her other than what I have above. Any help with this family is very welcomed. Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
