There was a Carnley that praticed law in Elba, Coffee county, Alabama for years. There was County Judge that was a Carnley in the early years of Coffee County. My children's Great Grandfather on their paternal side of the family, was refered to as Fiddling Will. He lost all of his land in the mid 30's. He also did jail time, no reason was given.
