This is all I have on this Ray family: Mother was Jemima Ray/Rae (maiden name unknown) b. 1797 Carolinas. She moved to Al. where children were born. Don't know husbands name or date of death. May have been John Ray on 1840 census. Jemima Ray was in Pensacola FL in 1850 where older children lived. In 1852 daughter Elizabeth Ray m. James H. Cobb. They moved to Baldwin Co. Al. by 1853 along with Jemima Ray and her children: Jasper, Servin(Sovreign), Perscilla & Sara.
