She was in the hospital only three days when she passed away from cancer: Helen Caroline Elizabeth Aydelotte, Donner, Larson was born January 25, 1914 in Joplin, Missouri. Her father's name was Harold Paul Aydelotte Her mother's name was Lucille Taylor Aydelotte. She was a woman full of good works and unshakeable faith in the Lord. She did good deeds quietly, even sometimes to people who did not know her, and often to people who could never repay. She was given to hospitality and everyone was welcome at her table. She was full of love for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and expressed it in many ways to each of them--and taught them how to love. She was a woman who won many battles in prayer--she saw healings, victories, restoring of faith in others. She loved good music, and often attended the opera when a young woman. She had aspired to be a research scientist and had the inquiring mind, excellent grades and ambition to do it--but, she married and her children came along, and then she became the most devoted, serious, conscientious mother possible. "and her children shall rise up and call her blessed" according to Proverbs in the Bible, and truly they do.
