Watson Jr. He is from Blount County AL. His Mothers name was Elinor R Watson ( nee robinette). Her fathers name was Lester Robinette. I think her mothers last name was Rutherford, not sure. They lived in the Blount County Alabama area. My great great grreat grandfather was an infant, who was left behind when Jackson made all the creeks go the trail of tears...( that's what I'm told) He was raised by a family with the last name of Butler... I would like to know his mothers name, his fathers name, and so forth, yet no one seems to know any info. Can anyone find a story, a tale, something that would coincide with this? I dont' know if the lady survived the journey, if she had other kids, if Mr butler was the father of the infant, or if the Butler family simply took him in and adopted him to spare him possible death, or what... I know all the creeks were removed, and sent to Oklahoma. But I dont have a name for her or anything. I believe my great great great grandfathers first name was John. I do know he took the name Butler from the family who kept him. I THINK, he married a half-creek woman named Sally.. I dont' know how it goes from there to me, except that my Grandmother carried the creek blood, then my father, and now me... though heavily diluted by now.. No, we are not registered. My grandmother hid her status. My father didnt' register. I apparently dont' have enough creek blood to be considered, even IF registry were possible. I would like to know the real story though, of why an infant was left behind, and his mother sent off, to possibly die on the way.. and what happened to her, if she made it, if she had children, etc...
