GA on 10/29/1819 (according to a family Bible with another branch of the family in Florida). Thomas had a son, Henry W., in Georgia in 1820 before moving to Florida and later to Texas (1830s). His parents, Thomas and Eliza(beth), I think, had a son, Stephen, who was christened in Liberty Co., GA in 1794. Other family members may have been Samuel, John, Joel, Abner, and Benjamin. If so, I believe they lived in Wilkinson Co. GA between 1807 and 1809. (Thomas's younger sons were named Thomas B. and Abner R.) Can you give me any more information on the Abner Carter born in South Carolina in 1785? I'm wondering if this could be Thomas's brother. I don't know where Thomas was born.
