My great grandfather was also born on the Yellow River in 1862. That is according to his daughter's (my grandmother's sister) records. The census record has the family (Michael Gibson) living in Santa Rosa County in 1860. My aunt's records say that they moved to Baldwin County, Alabama when her father, Silas H. Gibson was still a baby. They were of Creek descent. I would also like to know if there were other Indian people living near the Yellow River. Diane
