Patricia -- I have Daniel "Wahatchie" Hosford married to Martha "Patsy" (Unknown -- possible Moniac, or another surname that would make Susannah, their daughter, "a Moniac granddaughter") -- children Susannah, Andrew, and Richard. Dan married 2nd Catherine (don't know surname) -- they had Claiborne "Clebe" b. 1828, who married Martha, and then Ann Ferth, and Clebe's sister was Ann Hosford who married William Hinson. I have a couple of Hosfords on the 1847 Walton Co. tax list, and then on the 1850 Walton Census, at household 211, are a Daniel Housford age 30 and a James age 30. Living next door to Peter Steele. (Image 29, ancestry.com). On Image 28, at 204 is Elijah Turvin, and others; 205 Zep Turner and Sarah; 206 William Cousins and family; 207 my Richard Taylor and Susannah and family. Turner and Cousins, I understand, were "Eufaula Creek Indians" -- though I wish someone with more knowledge than I have would explain that to me. Don't know if this will help anyone or not. Also, Daniel Hosford (the one who married Martha, and then Catherine), was "Wahatchie" and I am told (by a Creek woman) that it refers to water -- someone who was close to, liked, or was associated with the water. If this becomes more than a clue, hope someone lets me know. Faye
