We've found that some people assume, based on oral family tradition or info they picked up on the internet, that their Cornplanter ancestor was either Seneca (Iroquois/Haudenosaunee) or Cherokee, Creek, etc. and were missing information on their particular family. By bringing the people together, we hope to not only find our family members, but help people connect their ancestor to the correct native tribe.
