I appreciated the info that Carolyn Funderburk has put on the list. Might I suggest the remedy I have used in the past: when a subject, though loosely connected to this list is mentioned, perhaps interested parties could contact ONLY the person with the info. I can tell you what a tragedy it would be to limit the info on Creeks that is allowed to be put on the list, for myself, I have personally gotten an untold amount of info on Creeks (ie names, place names, their day to day activities) specifically from Carolyn. Before jumping to hasty decisions, perhaps subscribers and list masters alike should ask themselves are they cutting their noses off to spite their faces. Like Carolyn, I have spent many, many years (31 yrs.) researching the Creeks, primarily focused on Alabama, & I belonging to various groups & societies on the subject. Personally, I feel that no one should be made to appologize for supplying information (pertaining to Creeks) when someone posts a query on the board. Moderate if you must, but don't do it with the stranglehold of a tyrant. I welcome any & all to contact me personally on the subject at dwaddelldober@cs.com. I will answer ALL emails just a fast as I possibly can and look forward to receiving them.
