Hi, I'm looking for connections between the Creeks and my Campbell ancestors that were in northern Alabama and Georgia during the early 1800's. Any leads, suggestion, hints or guesses would be most appreciated. Thanks, Randall Baker __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Hi Randall! I too have been looking for the connections and have a little information. I have to credit a lot of people for their help and information. Big credit to Melissa for her help! I am related through Aaron Jr, who was the brother of Robert David Campbell. My grandfather, David Aaron, was Robert David's grand-nephew (my grandfather was 57 when my father was born). And my father always had coloring and features that did not quite fit that "Scottish" or "Irish" ancestry. Neither does my nephew. I was told by someone else who actually lives in Chilton County (who's name escapes me for the moment but I can find it) that the lands the Campbells lived on in Chilton County (which was mostly a part of Shelby Co until 1872) were partly on Creek land and that intermarrage was not unheard of, even before Robert David. Anywho... whatever I know, I will share. Don't use the reply as I rarely use that email anymore (it got hijacked, but I can't delete it without closing my account... sigh...) Reply: asameada@comcast.net I would like to know if we might be related (long story short... my grandmother destroyed a lot of records). My father was a poor historian (David Aaron died when he was 8 and my grandmother didn't share). Anyhow... please email... love to talk to you. Laurie Campbell Belair, Maryland
