I am searching for information on my Creek relatives. It seems they were from Early County, GA or at least lived there a while. My g/g/g grandmother was Catherine Murkerson. Her father was William Martin Murkerson b. bet 1797-1805 married to Winnie b. abt 1811. >From what I understand they were all Creek Indians. I have pictures of Catherine and it certainly appears that she was. William Martin Murkerson and Winnie had several children: Catherine Murkerson b. Aug 11, 1837 d. April 16, 1923 buried in Blakely, GA married to John S. Gruber b. abt 1833 SC d. June 1, 1864 VA in WBTS buried in Blakely, GA William Murkerson Green Murkerson b. March 3, 1839 d. April 19, 1894 buried in Flat Creek Cemetery Early county, GA married to Temperance (Tempy) Jane Beasley b. Oct 20, 1840 d. Feb 27, 1935 buried next to Green in Flat Creek cemetery Penelope Murkerson Susan Murkerson Martha Murkerson Elizabeth Murkerson John Murkerson Mary Murkerson Sarah Ann Murkerson Milton Murkerson I do have some information on the other kids and their marriages.
