Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/5R.2ADI/918.1.3.1.1.2 Message Board Post: I have just begun searching out family roots. This whole process is very new to me. I am the great granddaughter of Sarah Anne Victoria Roberts and Joseph Glisson. When researching by surname, I found Obediah Glisson was a "multiple times" Great Grand Father of mine. I would also like to remark about a comment of "a daughter" being of Indian heritage. My family members tell me that my great great grandmother had an affair with an Indian gentleman while married to Robert Roberts, which resulted in my great grandmother Sarah Anne Victoria Roberts. Whom again, was the wife of Joseph Glisson. I have many photos of her and she appears to be very much of indian decent. Stories told by my mother and aunt support that information along with other facts that our family can be traced to North Carolina and Georgia. The Glissons did move to Alachua and Putnum County Florida. My mother was born in Palatka. I have many relatives buried in the Decoy Cemetary in Clay County, Florida. Just courious, where does the name Whitehead fit into the family? Good Luck in your search.

    3. Doris, You got me into trouble with this DUST message. Gwen read it and put me to work. I was suppose to dust the ceiling fans and didn't and she did the ole white glove check and said, Thank you for the reminder Doris, Come see us, Bob will put on the coffee and heat us some rolls. Now, Don't that just lock a mans jaw! Make coffee and heat up the rolls!! :~(((( ole jerked around and pecked Bob Thanks, Doris. It's always good to get things back in the right perspective. -----Original Message----- From: myself [mailto:bobandgwen2@comcast.net] Sent: Monday, February 17, 2003 11:53 AM To: Undisclosed-Recipient:; Subject: Fw: dusting Dusting "A house becomes a home when you can write "I love you" on the furniture." I can't tell you how many countless hours that I have spent CLEANING! I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect -"in case someone came over". Then I realized one day that no one came over; they were all out living life and having fun! Now, when people visit, I find no need to explain the "condition" of my home. They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun. If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice. Life is short. Enjoy it! Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better to paint a picture or write a letter, bake a cake or plant a seed, ponder the difference between want and need? Dust if you must, but there's not much time, with rivers to swim and mountains to climb, music to hear and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead. Dust if you must, but the world's out there with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair, a flutter of snow, a shower of rain. This day will not come around again. Dust if you must, but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind. And when you go - and go you must - you, yourself will make more dust! Share this with all the wonderful women in your life! I JUST DID. It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.
