    1. Re: CREEK-SOUTHEAST-D Digest V04 #55
    2. I started getting white hair when I was 12 and all of my 6 children have white hair some as early as 8. I do not know of any one else in my family that has premature white hair. I did not know many of my Creek ancestors as I was the youngest of the youngest etc. But I have always wondered if it came from my Creek Ancestry. Joan

    3. I must have missed any but today's, message about hair. My grandmother was snow white before she was 30. She was: b. 1894 in that part of Jackson Co. Florida that became Washington Co. She was: Mamie Elzora Reynolds m. Charlie Middleton Sowell b. 1890 AL. Her mother, Martha Annis(Annie) Kelly m. John M.M. Reynolds. This Kelly family was said to be; "Black Dutch" or "Black Irish", depending on who was telling the story. Annie's parents were: Gabriel Thomas Kelly & Nancy Deen(from the Drury Deen family) Gabriel Kelly's mother was Sara Lee, do Tobias Lee. One researcher told me there were numerous Kellies among the Eastern Cherokee. There is an old picture labeled, "Ma Kelly, a Choctaw woman. But, I think that has been added at a later date. Hope this rings a bell with some one. Sharon --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus]

These are just odd notes in my files. I never really found a connection with Sarah in my STIGGINS line, but that doesn't mean there isn't one by any means. Children: Arnold 10 M Ind b. AL (so he was born before they went to TX); Irine F Ind b TX; Braddoe 7 M Ind b. TX; Caledonia 5 F Ind b. AL (so they returned between these two); Henry 4 M Ind b AL; Lorenzo 1 M Ind b. AL. Keep in mind that this area shown in Monroe Co. in Sept. 1860, may have been in Baldwin Co. or part of Clarke at various times in early AL history. Evelyn

Burnt Corn. He is listed as white male age 39, blacksmith, property 200/400, b. AL. Sarah is 30, Indian, children all listed as Indian and born AL except Irine age 9 and Braddoe age 7 b. TX. They apparently moved to TX a couple of years and came back to AL, because the next 3 children are b. AL. From book Baldwin Co. Marriages at Birmingham Public Library, Sarah STIGGINS married Henry CONWAY 07 Nov 1848. If you need all the children's names & ages, let me know. Not my family, but hope this helps. Evelyn S. 2. My Great-great grand mother was Sallie Brown of the Creek Nation. My question is, how can I find out which Creek Tribe she belonged to? Someone told me she was from the water clan but through all of my research, I can find anything on the Creeks having a clan called "water" clan. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Michele

    3. You might try looking here http://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/tribes/creek/creekhist.htm at the bottom of the page there is a link to Creek Clans you should check there also. You could also check Creek Indian Researcher http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~texlance/main.htm Lance Hall's site, he has the best Creek info on line today.
