I am not sure that White Horse Medlin was Creek, he might have been Cherokee. (I have both in my lineage). His daughter Gatsey Medlin was an ancestor. She moved to southern Alabama and lived with other ancestors who were Creek. Gatsey was b. in 1814 and since the Creeks and Cherokee were not friendly at the time I suspect that she was really Creek. Really looking for information on her father and a mother ( don't have her mother's name.) Chief White Horse was born about 1790. Jerry Cranford

Was it initially rejected then approved? http://www.chiefmcintosh.com/census1971/census_1971.htm I actually wrote a letter to the Clan Campbell historian and she sent me some information that had the CORNELLS information . . . she also said that the Menawa connection to Charity was probably unlikely. I am searching for information on my 4th great grandfather, Nimrod Doyle. He was a sub agent under Agent Benjamin Hawkins and was married to a daughter of Coweta Indian Joseph Islands. Her name may have been Susan. He had 4 children: Jackson, Muscogy (my 3rd great grandmother), Winchester, Sr., and Amanda. I would love to learn a birth and death date for him as well as any information on who his parents were. This has become a brick wall for me and any help in punching through it would be greatly appreciated! Dorothea --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? So I decided to just put it out there for all of you to see. Joseph Cornell was a Carolina Trader that entered into the Creek Nation. His son was Davy Cornell. The reason this name sounded familiar was who was Davy's son. Opothle Yoholo (YOHOLO refers to a cry uttered by the official who managed the important "Black Drink Ceremony). AKA Hoboithli Yoholo b. 1780 d. 1863. He was born in Tuckabatchee (Creek Nation). Near present day Montgomery, AL. His mother was a Tuckabatchee woman perhaps of the Potato Clan.
Does anyone know what areas of Georgia were Creek and what was Cherokee. Thank you. Delorra
