The website Jackson County History at http://jacksoncountyhistory.com <http://jacksoncountyhistory.com/> has the 1833 Native American Census of Jackson Co., FL plus a lot of other info on Jackson Co., FL, also links to Dale Cox's blog on Jackson Co. history. We have a connection to the Adam McNealy family through marriage, can't recollect which wife or whatever. The book History of Jackson County by J. Randall Stanley has a lot of info in it also. It says that Col. William McNealy from NC (Adam's father) settled on the old Hays plantation in 1823 when there were few white settlers and there was more of a menace from local or traveling Indians. Doesn't say more on that subject. Hope this helps, Marcie
