GA, son of Martin b. 1726 VA I also do NOT agree with Dr. Waselkov about John Tate being Adam Tait. WHY would all of the Tate contemporaries spell it Tate and not Tait? Are there British records showing that it was Adam Tait who was stationed at Fort Toulouse? The closest I can get to Waselkov would be if they were brothers, Adam being the mapmaker and going on to Nova Scotia and dying there-- with John being stationed at Ft.
