Google now has Google Books in beta. Click here http://books.google.com/ . I don't know if you guys knew that or not. But, it's great for genealogy. Some whole books are on line. Others, just a little snippet where your specific info is mentioned. Then, you can locate the actual book closest to you, if you want to take a look at it in more detail. For instance, I typed in Cornelius Creed (since he's popular now), and got a return of many, many books where he is mentioned. Very interesting stuff. Just a little of what I found. 1888 Cornelius Creed stumbled into a train and was killed in MA 1828 mentioned in the book "The Red Barn" part fiction, part truth by Robert Huish 1886 mentioned in the book "All the Year Round" by Charles Dickens Listed in a directory written in the 1800's as Cornelius Creed, 19 Bridge St., Southampton in the Hotels, Inns & Taverns. The Creeds practically ran Jamica, NY 1686 William Creed - Patent Jamaica, NY I gave just a bit..there are hours of reading here just on Cornelius then, one Creed leads to another Creed. I came across mention of Creed's Hill. There's too much to put here. Don't forget to put your search info in quotes to so you will get exactly what you're searching for like this "Cornelius Creed". I found some lost and unknown info..I"m sure you will too.
