    2. www2.wataugademocrawww2. Stella Perry Creed Mrs. Stella Perry Creed, 95, of U.S. Highway 321 North, Sugar Grove, died Thursday evening, Oct. 1, 2009, at Blowing Rock Hospital. She was born Nov. 16, 1913 in Ashe County, to William Emory and Alice Denny Perry. Mrs. Creed was a member of the Boone Advent Christian Church. She was a homemaker and farmer. Stella loved her church family and enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens. Mrs. Creed is survived by her daughter, Gladys C. Denney of Sugar Grove; her son, Dennis Creed and wife, Ruth, of Boone; two granddaughters, Sandra Denney of Sugar Grove, Phyllis Everett and husband, Mike, of Boone; and one foster granddaughter, Tammy Minton, of Lenoir; four grandsons, Eugene Creed and wife, Cheryl, of Zionville, Jackie Estep and wife, Carolyn, and Johnny Estep, all of Raleigh, and Mike Denney and wife, Cathy, of Sugar Grove; and one foster grandson, Robert Minton, of Boone; nine great-grandchildrengreat-grandchildren<WBR>, Jennifer McEntosh, Jeffrey Everett, Kelli Sherwood Herman, and Brock, Kevin, Jeremy and Jessica Denney; five great-great-Herman, and Brock, Kevin, Jer Dustin Herman, Savannah McEntosh and Alyssa and J. J. Everett; and one foster great-grandson, Matthew Minton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Sherman Creed; one daughter, Mary Lee Estep; one grandson, Jerry Denney; two sons-in-law, Homer Estep and Gene Denney; three sisters, Ida Perry, Ila Eller and Dora Winter; and four brothers, Lundy, Claud, Wiley and Woodrow Perry. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at Boone Advent Christian Church, officiated by Pastor Gordon Noble and the Rev. Wilson Stewart. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 9:30 until 11 o'clock, prior to services, at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens. At other times the family will be at the home of Gladys Denney, 2722 Hwy 321 North, Sugar Grove. Memorials may be made to the Advent Christian Church Flower Fund, in care of Joyce Sherrill, 375 Shady Bark Lane, Boone, N.C. 28607.
