Otto was the first in 1764. He landed in Baltimore, When he fought in the Revolutionary Was he lived in Pennsylvania. He then ended up in Virginia abd finally ib southern Indiana. Jacob J landed in Sandusky, Ohio. There was one to Pennsylvania, 3 to New Jersey, anmd about 12 to St. Louis between 1820-1850. The name was origionally Krekel until someone someone latinzed the name by adding ius. Later the "K" were changed to "C". The reference to being Greek come from Creceliue was the latin mane of a Christian Matryr Killed in the Roman Empire in 305 AD.
