I have searched all the microfilmed marriage records for both Washington and Greene Cos. in Tennessee, and found nothing - no record of any marriage for either her or her husbands, George Kindle and Joseph Harmon. I've had to rely on secondary sources: a family group sheet from the Corydon Public Library (compiled by Carol Y. Miller before 1980) and two on-line genealogies. There is also circumstantial evidence - the John Crecelius letter about the drowning of Barbara's son, William Kindle, in 1829, and the fact that Barbara lived near various Creceliuses - in both TN and IN - over a period of 40 years. But I'd love to know if there is anything more definite out there, or at least who originally identified her with the Crecelius family and on what basis. I'm also curious as to what became of her sisters Catharine (Catharina Barbara) and Margaret, who were alive in 1787 when Otto Rudolph made his will, but "disappear" afterward. (There are no Tennessee marriage records for them, either.) I'd be very grateful for any information/suggestions.
