Crecelius, grandson of Homer A.who's father Jacob Paul ( married Minnie Ohlemacker ) imigrated from Germany in seach of a cousin that came before him ( I was told this by my great aunt Esther ( Crecelius ) Stratton former teacher). Appearantly he was unable to find him and settled in the Sandusky/Milan (OH) area. I'm interested in finding out how my family fits into the loop. I assume the connection is in Germany. The younger Jacob married Lucinda Spence.....one of their sons, Jerimiah E. Crecelius was my great-grandfather. So that is way I am looking for any info on the two Jacobs.

In addition to John Godhard CRECELIUS and his family, the families of 2 of his sisters, Maria "Barbara" CRECELIUS KINDLE and Doreathea/Dorothy "Dolly" LASHBROOKS and his brother, Jacob A. CRECELIUS' family migrated to Indiana before 1813. This information is from the book "Descendants of Henry Cline Crecelius 1797-1885" "Meade County, Kentucky Pioneer", compiled by Robert L. CRECELIUS 1998 I am a double descendant of Otto Rudolph through John Godhard CRECELIUS & Elizabeth AUSMUS and Maria Elizabeth CRECELIUS & Henry BOTTLES/BARTLES.

One of Nola's sons is alive. He told me Nola's parents or grandparents came from Holland. I have Grandma Nolie's bible and I have found that her dad and granddad came from Kentucky. I see on the board there were 2 migrations, German. I a trying to untangle all of out KY families and this one may have me stumped. Please help!

If you are interested in a DOCUMENTED timeline for Rudolph Crecelius, please contact me. You will be surprised at some of the results. Many of the things that we thought were true are incorrect. This timeline is only from Rudolph's arrival in the colonies until his death in 1787. These findings have also be published in the Jan. 2003 issue of BEYOND GERMANNA. Those of you who descend from this second wife of Otto Rudolph Crecelius may be getting a place and death date for Anna. All I need is some verification from original records and I have it. Apparently, the transcriber has written her name incorrectly, but it looks like it is a perfect match. Eleanor
