    2. Hello Everyone, I am the new coordinator for KidzGenWeb at _http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgwkidz/index.htm. _ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgwkidz/index.htm. ) This site has been around for a while now, but has not been pushed very hard. I need your help getting it out. This site is for children and teens so that they are able to post surnames, queries and class room genealogy projects so that other children/teens or adults may be able to help them with their search. Only children can post surnames and queries, however, adult researchers can answer the queries or post helpful hints. This link is being forwarded by fellow researchers like yourself to schools and libraries as well. Please be so kind to post this link to your county page(s) and/or list groups. Thank you for your time and help. 1. Family web page
    2. I forgot who asked for my family tree, so I thought I'd send it to the list and my friends/family. http://angeladiblasi.friendpages.com This page I use to post the family tree. I do try to remove all living persons from it before posting it. There is a much nicer one and it is through www.myfamily.com. Membership is required and ancestry.com charges (or at least I had to pay). I am not sure if it gives you a free trial or not, but it is a great site! But here is the link to it http://creacycreasy.myfamily.com . Some surnames I have are: Creacy, Creasy, Creasey, Stokes, McKee, Collins, Walker, Dyer, Swann, Greenley, Goslee, Turner, Tucker, Tate, Pier, Merrill just to name a few. Thanks for asking! 1. Thomas William, George Lawson and Samuel Craig Creacy Notes
    2. Notes for THOMAS WILLIAM CREACY: Thomas William Creacy's nickname is Tom. His name is found spelled out two different ways, 'Thomas William Creacy' and 'William Thomas Creacy'. His wife Cellie's tombstone has written 'Wife of T. W. Creacy', In the Hanna Family Bible pages of Leisel Creacy, Leisel recorded Tom's death as 'Mr. T. W. Creacy died'. Tom was living with son Joseph Thomas Creacy at the time of his death. I found his obituary in the Corpus Christi Caller Times. He was transported to Dawson Texas for burial. His grave site has not been located. Cage Mills Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements in Corpus Christi, Texas. I called the funeral home and was told all older documents are in storage and difficult to get to. Tom's death certificate did not list his parents, so it is possible that the funeral home records will not list them either. Stated in the obit is a brother Sam Creacy who was still living in Killeen, Texas. William's other 2 son's are also listed as living. Lonnie is in Corpus Christi, and Reubin is in Salinas, California. Tom was a farmer. Research shows the prevalent crop at the time was cotton. Tom's death certificate reads as follows: He was born in Texas, January 6, 1871 ((((research shows that he was NOT born in Texas, but born in Mississippi)))) Died December 4, 1953 Was Widowed He died of Cerebral Hemorrhage, Arteriosclerosis Other significant condition was carcinoma on face He was a retired farmer Died at Memorial Hospital, his doctor was (O. B. Moon M. D.) His address upon death is listed as 4506 Brookdale, Corpus Christi, Texas He was 82 years old at time of death Cage Mills Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements in C. C. Texas His body was transported to Dawson, Texas for burial. At the time of Tom's death Dawson did not have a funeral home. Notes for SAMUEL CRAIG CREACY: Sam's obituary spells his last name as Creasy, sent by the Gibbs Memorial Library in Mexia, Texas Obituary also lists that he has four daughter's living at the time: 1. Mrs. C. E. Sawyer of Mexia (this would be Jewell Creacy) 2. Mrs. E. E. Cotton of Killeen (this would be Edna Creacy) 3. Mrs R. L. Mitchell of Houston 4. Mrs. D. L. Agastinelli of San Antonio (and 9 grandchildren) He was born in Mississippi Retired farmer Member of the Baptist Church Lived in Limestone County most of his life Sam was living in Killeen, Bell County, at the time of his father Tom's death Sam was widowed at the time of his death Burial: Prairie Hill Cemetery, Limestone County, Texas More About GEORGE LAWSON CREACY: Burial: Pearl Cemetery, Bell County, Texas More About ANNA L. BLAKELY: Burial: Pearl Cemetery, Bell County, Texas

    3. Does anyone have any information on who the father of John I Creasy/Cressy might be? He was in America prior to America to 1678; and was believed to have been b. in Worchestershire or Birkin, England (possibly abt 1655?) and d. bef 20 May 1692 at Henrico County, Virginia. 1. RHODES in Virginia
    2. Micki Rhodes
    3. Dear All: Please help me! I am trying desperately to trace my father's paternal lineage but there seems to be so little on record of what was reportedly a very remarkable family!! My father is Smith Albert Rhodes, b. 1929 in Fluvanna County, VA - raised in Kidds Store, same county. His father was William ALlen Rhodes, Sr. (b. 1891, d. 1941 - killed in a power line accident. Wm. Sr.'s siblings include (but may not be limited to) Clara, Sadie, Clarence and Granville. All were extremely tall for their time (men over 6.5 feet tall and women around 6'). Sadie ran the local school house and the family was said to be extremely gregarious and well-known for jokes and pranks. At some point, probably at this generational level, the family intermarried with the CREASY/CREASEY line. My father recalls the Creasy home place being near to his house and the initials "A.C." - for either Arlen or Arvin - Creasy, prominently displayed on the roof of the Creasy barn. Dad believes the RHODES family may have originally come from Richmond and perhaps moved to Fluvanna Co. as a result of a union with the Creasys by marriage. I'm unable tofind the records showing the Creasy connection, or the lineage prior to Wm. Allen Rhodes Sr.'s generation. Can anybody assist me with this project?? I'm trying to piece this all together for my dad... Thank you, Michelle Rhodes [email protected] Sign up for your FREE Richmond.com email at http://www.richmond.com

    1. Re: where to complain
    2. Ok, first off, thank you all for your words of support and advise. I have calmed down and looked at my own email. I have wrote to her and asked her to list me as the researcher of my own work and to remove all living persons from the net. I am more mad that she listed living persons to the net. I am more than willing to share my family information with anyone, but if you are going to post the work I have been doing, at least say that I gave it to you and have been working on it and if you have any questions to contact me. She doesnt have my paper work to verify anything for anyone. She doesnt have the time invested that I do. She has about 5 minutes of uploading my tree to her site. Ok fine.........put me down as the researcher if you are going to post and take off the living people!!!! I dont care if my name is on there......but some of my other family members dont want their names on the net. They get freaked out...... Anyway, I am sorry for last nights blow up. The more I saw my information on the net, the more mad I got. After sleeping on it, I thought to myself, well Angie, you have used other peoples information also......but I list them as the researcher and I tell them or ask them befor I use the information they sent me. At least they knew befor I did anything. I dont know......I know you cant copyright information that is public but if you post my notes word for word and post living persons..........that is wrong. Angie

    1. where to complain
    2. I am sorry everyone. But I wanted to get your advice please. I have been researching my family line now for 5 years. I have gathered a lot of information on all sides of my family lines. Today, Tuesday the 9th of October, I got my gg grandfathers pension records in the mail! I was so excited because I finally had a death date for him. I go to check for it on ancestry.com and guess what???? Someone has put my, ALL!, work on the net! She has my complete line on ancestry.com, rootsweb.com, and familytree maker with out my permission and also has living persons on it.......yes the living persons say living with no information, but I don't care! I wrote her and asked her to remove the family line for her tree and then I found it on 3 other sites.......none with my name as the owner or researcher of this line. I reported it to ancestry, rootsweb and to familytree maker, but what else can I do? She took my information and used it as hers! Angie
