    3. Hi Paula,  I am always delighted to hear from a Crawford.  My Crawford family is from New Brunswick, Canada.  They were originally from Ayr, Scotland and some of them moved to Donegal Ireland before arriving in New Brunswick about 1800. My results were found after 14 plus years of searching, several DNA tests of brothers and myself, and reading many old newspapers --only to find my relative in my very own county--thanks to the newspaper.  They had moved around a LOT. There is a great possibility that your family may be related to a Judge Henry Crawford who was born 1860 and died in 1929. He is buried in Whitesville Cemetery Andrew County, Missouri.  That family also has relatives in Illinois and Indiana as well as Tennessee. It would be worth a try.                                                                                                     Sharon Crawford Brobst On Thursday, June 28, 2018 1:20 PM, Charles Crawford <cbcrawford@gmail.com> wrote: My  Crawford’s came to Canada in 1821 and settled in the township of Avoka which is  near  Montreal. 3. I just want everyone to know that all of Dorcas HOWARDs children were named HOWARD but when I had my male cousin do the Ancestry DNA test, NOT 1 HOWARD all CRAWFORD comes back kin. I wasn't sure I made that clear in my original email..........I know it is a delicate situation ..........but now 9 years later I am going to find out who our CRAWFORD ancestry is...........we have some really close hits, like 0, 1, 2 generations but they never answer my emails..........I am at a loss thanks again pj > I am Paula Howard Thompson-Lamb. 3. When I get home from vacation I will check my husbands line. I have been getting tons of matches but haven’t followed up yet. I recently talked with FTDNA and somehow my setup did not get updated (like all the thousands of others) for a newer process for contacting me. I was told, “You fell through the cracks.” ???? No one can contact me. It was weird how it all happened but I hope it will be fixed soon. 3. I am just beginning my family research so please forgive my ineptness. Question: I took the DNA test from 23and me. Is there a way to share it with Ancestry? Also. My 3rd great grandmother was Margaret (Polly) Crawford married to frederick bagwell (jr) although I never see jr attaches to his name. His father was also named frederick so it’s my way of keeping them straight. Frederick and Margaret ,along with children and other family members migrated to Mississippi in the 1830’s. They settled in the Choctaw, Webster and Winston county areas. Some of Margaret ‘s family also came - her father peter Crawford among them. Does anyone connect to these Crawford’s? I have found their graves which are currently in a federal game preserve in a mostly intended cemetery.
