I too read all the notices in hopes of finding a connection, I look at the Crofford spelling as well as Crawford. Have not found a James Crofford born on 8 Feb 1853 in Indiana on either spellings. Spelling of name changed from Crofford 1910 Census to Crawford on 1920 Census for Dallas County, Arknasas . He married Addie Brock 27 March 1892 in Jefferson County Arknasas and my grandmother Florence R. Hammond on 20 August 1899 in Dallas County, Arkansas. Nothing prior to this.
