If he was 80 when he died, that means he was born in 1789, my Joseph was born in 1790, could they have been related ? Joseph and Mary Ann "Polly's" children were: 1. Douthit There is a George Washington Crawford in the 1790 Rowan Co., NC census, who served in the Rev. in SC according to the DAR, in the census he has a one year old and a four year old. According to the DAR his wife was Sarah Kirby, I wonder what, if any, connection there is here. There is also a Joseph Crawford in the same census in Cabarrus Co., which is just below Rowan Co., he remains on the census rolls thru the 1800's, after Joseph and Mary Ann have moved to Tenn., who was this Joseph, and is there any connection ?
