STATE CAUSES State vs.WILLIAM CRAWFORD-assualt On May 13, 1831, WILLIAM CRAWFORD assualted Samuel Brown with intent to kill him by stabbing him. Not guilty. State vs. BENJAMIN F. CRAWFORD-=bastardy Suit brought by Elizabeth J. Pillow, a single woman, who was delivered of a male child Mar 6, 1860.CRAWFORD charged by Court to pay for support of the child. (Court Minute Book 19, page 249, 9/4/1860.) State vs. THOMAS CRAWFORD & FRANCIS CRAWFORD---murder In May 1 1860 THOMAS CRAWFORD & FRANCIS CRAWFORD assaulted Aaron, a slave of Sally E. Dickey.
