    1. Re: Brick Wall revisited again
    2. More don't give up stories - my brick wall was solved when I found a copy of my gg grandmother's obit at the funeral home that handled her service. After 90 years they were still in business and had the records. Attached to their bill was her obit, which listed her place of birth as GA. I knew from several census records that she was born in NC as was her Crawford husband. Finally after holding on to that obit for a few years I decided to check GA marriage records, since I had not found a marriage record in NC. Guess what, I found it. And then I found that Crawford gg grandfather on the census in that same county with his parents. More research on Crawfords in that GA county led me back to the county in NC that they came from. I'm again at a brick wall, but I know that with persistence I'll get over it, under it or around it. It took me at least 5 years to get that line back to 1800. Keep trying. Even if you find something you know to be wrong, try to figure out why someone thought it was right at one time. Best wishes, and may the year 2000 bring us all closer to beating down those brick walls! Ida
