M. Aaland, Have you tried the following site? http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/index.html This is the Handbook of Texas and I have found some of my family in it. Try putting the first name LEMUEL in and maybe that will get something. I find that the more unusual the name is, if there is something about it in the book, it will pop right up.
